France Trip Day 9: Easter and Saying Au Revoir

Mornings in France begin with café au lait for adults and hot chocolate for kids, both served in bowls.

The kids could very well demand hot chocolate every morning once we get home to Germany.

Somehow, the Easter Bunny found us here in France and brought lots of German goodies. He must have been very confused.

James looking through a Spongebob Schwammkopf magazine and saying, "You know, Mom, this German is pretty easy. I can understand it OK."

Emilie and Rebecca got some German kids magazine (Dora the Explorer, the Little Princess, Prinzessin Lillifee) and mermaid Playmobil toys.

Combing Emilie's and Rebecca's hair every morning is a chore. Can you see how puffed up Becca's hair is here? And Emilie's hair get attacked by tangle fairies while she sleeps. There is no other explanation for the snarles. Here Madame Foucher takes on the tangle challenge.

Posing for some pictures before we left for Normandy.

The kids got pretty good at giving and receiving les bisous. Sometimes you just kiss someone on the cheek twice, but if you haven't seen them in a while, it's four times. And that goes for men, too. James and Tangi said goodbye with les bisous, but James wasn't totally comfortable with it.

We cannot thank all the Fouchers enough for a wonderful visit.
