It was an interesting experience seeing Maud with her family. In my mind, she is the teenager always studying for her bac (the Baccalauréat, France's national secondary-school diploma) or knitting beautiful sweaters. It was a bit disconcerting to see her all grown up, working as a nurse, with two wonderful kids and an equally wonderful husband, and living in a lovely house just a minute's walk from the Golfe du Morbihan. Is that all possible?
Saturday morning, we were due back chez les Fouchers for a large family gathering, but stopped along the way at the little town of Rochefort en Terre.
It was a good thing our time was limited or else there was no way we would have exited this wooden-toy store empty handed.
